DevOps Engineer - based in central Cardiff - Excellent salary, package and work environment We`re on the lookout for a talented DevOps engineer who never says no to a challenge for an industry leading R&D organization based in Central Cardiff - As a DevOps engineer you will be working with the development and operations teams facilitating building system monitoring tools, automated deployments, and programmatically handling cloud infrastructure. Main responsibilities in this role with be varied however will include - - Maintain and expand build environments - Build monitoring tools based off of business needs - Automate deployment/rollback - Create methods to communicate outages and recovery - Build SLA reports based off of monitoring - Maintain a dashboard of current systems status - Liaise with Development for Development Ops handoffs - Provide standard ``Ops`` support from time-to-time - Linux support Agile pioneers. Ideally the successful DevOps engineer will ideally have - - Experience maintaining an SLA with 99.5% uptime - Strong Linux system administration skills - Experience with Configuration Management tools (Chef, Puppet, etc.) - Experience with continuous integration tools - Cloud experience (AWS Preferred) - Understanding of object-oriented development - Understanding of monitoring and on-call rotations - Any experience with Python, PHP, Perl, Bash, or other `scripting` languages - System Configuration and Automation - The ability to participate in 24/7 on-call rotation (two weeks every five weeks rotation) Their commitment to innovation has helped them more than double our size over the last 2 years alone, and they`re not stopping there; they`ve created a place to work that has no boundaries and put simply, they`re the kind of team that you really do want to be part of.
