The Opportunity A leading global supplier and hugely successful business is actively looking to recruit a Production Planner to join the business on a permanent basis. This role will suit a Stock Controller / Inventory Controller / Logistics Controller / Production Co-Ordinator / Production Controller who has had previous experience of working within a fast paced manufacturing environment, having responsibility for the planning of production requirements to meet customer demands. This opportunity is offering a salary of £22,000 - £28,000 which is dependent on experience, in addition to a well-rounded benefits package. This is a day's only role. The Role The successful applicant will be reporting into the Logistics Manager. The successful role incumbent will be responsible for matching cell capacities to current and future customer demands. The role will involve the successful Production Controller to: - - Generate production plans based on customer demand and change to Kanban methodology. - - Analyse and clarify the customer demand, ensuring effective communication through liaising with production line managers. - - Maintain customer web portals. - - Collate, retain, control and issue relevant production documentation. - - Monitor the customer forecasts and shipping volumes. - - Review daily production achievements against the production plan, and highlight areas of concern. - - Manage goods inwards function. - - Provide both weekly and monthly KPI data. - - Maintains housekeeping and safety sheets in line with established procedure. Skills / Experience - At least 3 years' experience within a similar previous role, within a fast paced manufacturing environment. - Knowledge of continuous improvement. - MRP/ERP experience would be highly beneficial. - Advanced Microsoft suite user, particularly excel & word. - Knowledge of production pull systems. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Dynamic, proactive and can-do attitude.
