Responsibilities As our Team Leader you will ensure timely resolution of delinquent accounts whilst working towards obtaining our monthly cash target. Your responsibilities will be split between recoveries, litigation, legal and general team support, development and performance management. This will include pursuing shortfalls, recovery of vehicles and working closely with 3rd parties such as solicitors and legal bodies to resolve disputes and to agree the right settlements. It is important that you will engage with your team, ensuring excellent communication is delivered to each individual in addition to encouraging development and motivating direct reports in reaching their goals, SLAs and KPIs. Qualifications You will have gained experience within a collections, litigations or legal environment with a financial or motor industry background and an in-depth understanding of the Consumer Credit Act. A knowledge and understanding of the litigations/court process and the ability to work with vulnerable customers sensitively is important. Just as important is the ability to demonstrate experience in coaching, leading and developing teams in addition to excellent communication skills. With the ability to work under pressure and analyse complex problems, you will be able to coordinate management duties effectively while positively implementing change.
