Job Profile for Project Manager - 00025442 I am currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager to join a well-established main contractor/ developer to work on an exciting High Rise project in Cardiff. The client that the Project Manager would be working for have extensive experience and expertise within the industry, and are now regarded as one of the most successful and well-respected names in the property development, construction and building industries. The development will be one of the tallest buildings outside of London, so experience of High Rise, Concrete Frame, buildings of at least 30 storeys is crucial. The successful Project Manager will also possess a strong understanding of constricted city centre schemes and the logistics involved in such projects. Experience of unitised cladding, concrete frame and M&E will be very important. The client is anticipating that the ideal Project Manager will have served longer work terms, rather than freelance/short term roles. It is also envisaged that the successful applicant will have a proven track record of successfully working on a development of this size. You will be working as part of an expansive team to ensure the project is delivered on time; ensuring the required quality is attained, the safety programme is adhered to, profitability is maximised, site works are effectively co-ordinated and that all subcontractors on site are managed accordingly. Project Manager Position Overview - Sole point of contact for clients. - Set the agenda for the Construction process. - Liaise with relevant points of contact, such as client, architect, structural engineers, Quantity Surveyors. - Attend regular meetings. - Identify and discuss all site issues with the Construction Director. Project Manager Position Requirements - Extensive experience of working on Concrete Frame High Rise buildings of at least 30 storeys. - Strong understanding of tight city centre schemes and associated logistics. - Degree in Project Management, or similar. - To have worked as a Project Manager for a minimum of 3 years. - Experience of leading a team on a development of this size. - Member of Chartered Institute of Building, or working towards, desirable - First aid training beneficial - Strong communication skills Project Manager Position Remuneration - Salary: Negotiable - Company Car/Car allowance - Bonus scheme - Healthcare scheme - Working hours: Monday - Thursday, 08:30 - 17:30.
