Acorn is one the UK's leading recruitment and training companies and we are looking for a Payroll Manager to join our busy Head Office Finance team.

As a Payroll Manager you will have key role to play in the Finance team which is responsible for the prompt and accurate payroll of Acorn's agency workers and contractors. Specifically you will be responsible for:

* Overseeing the processing of weekly payroll for temporary agency workers including; holiday pay, pension, attachment of earnings, statutory payments etc.
* Ensuring that agency workers are paid promptly and accurately
* Ensuring full compliance with legislative and procedural requirements
* Responding in a timely and professional manner to payroll queries
* Leading, managing & developing the payroll team to meet individal, team & company objectives
* Using inititaive to improve processes and efficiencies

The role requires someone with previous payroll management experience with the knowledge and experience to manage large and complex payrolls. Previous use of the Tempest payroll system would be advantaegous. This is an extremely busy role so the succesful candidate must be able to manage a large workload and meet tight deadlines.
