Job Title: Sales/Business Development Manager - UK Initially South Wales, South West & Midlands Location: Territory based, reporting to our offices at Cardiff covering principally South Wales, South West & Midlands (with additional nationwide coverage when required) Salary: Circa £30-£35k depending on skills and experience plus uncapped commission scheme (estimated £60k OTE) company car, (BMW 3 series or equivalent), laptop and phone. An exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing well established waste management company. Selling waste equipment - waste compactors, balers and containers including consumables to larger commercial waste producers and waste recycling contractors. THE COMPANY A great opportunity has arisen for a successful Business Development Manager to join a rapidly expanding waste management company in Cardiff. As part of the Forward Waste Management group, Enviroquip sell, rent and lease a comprehensive range of waste handling and processing equipment; including compactors, balers, shredders and containers. This is supported by integral workshop facilities equipped for a wide range of welding and fabrication, refurbishment and repair services, from our 30,000 sq. ft. facility based at Cardiff. The ideal person will have a service or a product sales background such as capital equipment, heavy plant machinery, i.e. trucks, diggers, cranes, or vehicle/equipment leasing, including Printers/ Copiers, Hygiene/cleaning equipment. THE ROLE Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the role will entail all aspects of business generation from medium to large commercial / industrial waste stream producers and associated waste and recycling contractors. Primarily focused on the sale/rental of waste compactors, balers and consumables including:- - Prospect account generation and analysis - Targeting dormant accounts - Site waste audits and surveys - Proposal writing and presentation at Board level - Gaining contract award followed by service roll out - Sales management reporting against defined sales and contribution targets and KPI`s SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED - Experienced as a sales executive with the ability to demonstrate proven sales success. Previous experience within the waste industry otherwise within industrial business to business capital equipment applications e.g. plant machinery, hygiene/cleaning equipment, vehicle leasing, copiers/printing. - Excellent written and spoken communication skills, being able to construct and present clear and compelling business cases - Negotiation at all levels of an organisation, especially at Board level - Engineering experience/qualification would be a distinct THE IDEAL CANDIDATE - Results driven and motivated by success, able to prove and substantiate a progressive career to date. - Solid sales skills with demonstrable business to business sales success at senior level - Inquisitive and incisive with a lateral thinking attitude - Clear communicator with the aptitude to gain trust and confidence of both clients and colleagues - Aware of attention to detail - Able to work unsupervised and to successfully complete tasks within tight deadlines.
