Graduates, interns and apprentices are key to the overall success of CH2M. We invest in initial career experience of graduates through our graduate development program. This serves as the foundation to building our pipeline of future leaders. Our Highways team focuses on all aspects of planning, design and construction supervision of highway projects. Recently, they have been working on projects such as the A465 Section 2 Heads of the Valley (detailed design and site supervision), M4 Smart Motorways Programme (preliminary design) and MetroBus (detailed design and site supervision) As a graduate working within our team, you will be involved in: * Civil design and specification related to new highway projects * Surveys, inspection and appraisal of existing infrastructure * Preparation of reports such as feasibility studies, method statements, specifications, approval documents and detailed design documents * Production of drawings in collaboration with design technicians * Providing support to senior staff in co-ordination of tenders and projects for clients * Checking design and assessment calculations and reviewing detailed drawings * Delivering projects in accordance with quality, timescales and budget You can work towards becoming Incorporated or chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and/or Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE), and will also benefit from: * Support from other graduates within the office * Support from other senior members of the team with all aspects of learning * A dedicated Supervising Civil Engineer to ensure individuals are fully prepared when they take their professional qualifications The minimum qualifications for this position are: We expect our candidates to have graduated with or are expecting to graduate with a minimum 2.1 or Merit Bachelors degree or ideally a Master's degree in Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience: * Excellent communication in English verbal and written * High motivation to join CH2M * Be focused on working towards Incorporated or Chartered status with the ICE or other professional body such as CIHT * Strong interpersonal and team working skills * Problem solving skills * A full UK driving license is preferred How to apply If you are interested in applying to us for this position, please submit your application with an up-to-date CV.
