Department: Investment Directors (Business Development)

Reporting to: Business Development Executive

Location: Cardiff

Job purpose

To ensure that the highest level of administrative support for all aspects of Business Development activity are carried out efficiently and professionally.

To provide specialist operational support in the delivery of the department's on-going development and day-to-day functions.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Working for the Business Development team, you will be required to provide effective administrative support including but not limited to:

  • As an active member of the department, assist the Business Development Executive closely with implementation and monitoring of the annual business development strategy and operational plan
  • Co-ordinate invitees and attend business development meetings, seminars and events across Wales
  • Provide direct support to the Investment Directors in their business development acvtivities (such as booking meetings, arranging guests, etc)
  • Research Welsh SMEs to identify potential investment targets
  • Make outbound telephone calls to prospective investment targets
  • Co-ordinate information from investment teams on investments made/upcoming events & meetings and drafting into articles, blogs, tweets to be used on the FW website and other media outlets/e-mails
  • Prepare documentation, reports, minutes and agendas in support of monthly team/fund manager meetings on performance of business development activity against the annual strategy and plan
  • Assist the Business Development Executive provide a central co-ordinating role between marketing and the investment teams
  • Manage all business development documentation and data capture systems including CRM, SharePoint and planning systems
  • Take responsibility for financial processing including the raising of purchase orders, processing invoices for business development activity
  • Develop over time an understanding of and experience in the investment process across each of the FW investment teams
  • To provide cover/support for Investment Support Administrators as and when the occasion arises including investment drawdowns and direct debt run completion.
  • Any other task as may be defined by the business Development Executive to meet the operational needs of the department
