Salary - GBP40,000 - GBP48,000 + health insurance + 5% employer contribution pension + (relocation fee discussable)

Their facility in Wales is located on the fringes of the Brecon Beacons National Park and with excellent road and rail links. The plant is only 15 miles from Swansea and the beautiful Gower peninsula and a little over 50 miles from Cardiff Airport. The plant has attracted significant corporate and government investment, becoming a vertically integrated center of excellence in the manufacture of pneumatic seating systems. Not only can the organization boast an end user customer base which includes the most prestigious automotive manufacturers, but more recently their systems have been adopted by mainstream mass producers, which will take our turnover from GBP I'm to GBP50m in a period of just 5 years.

They are a stable employer in the area for the last 50 years and comfortably achieving customer demand, they now seek candidates for key positions to support their impressive growth plans.

Main Tasks:

Responsibility for process planning, process design and optimizations.
Work in accordance with company procedures for new model introduction.
Develop manufacturing plans for new equipment and equipment modifications.
Prepare RFQs for new products and processes on site.
Promote and operate Lean principles in all aspects of day to day activities whilst respecting the strict guidelines of TS16949.
Provide input to R&D/Engineering on manufacturing feasibility of product designs.
Lead, guide and coach team members.
Guide team through growth phase (turnover x4 in next 2-3 years).
Professionalize systems, processes, tools to cope with growth requirements.
Adapt and improve manufacturing footprint.
Cost, layout and site optimizations.
Responsibility for HSE.


Deliver results on the above mentioned tasks in time, within budget and quality requirements.
Lead Manufacturing Engineering projects from concept phase to serial launches.
Lead the site launch team to ensure each element of program launches are delivered on time.


Autonomous handling of tasks in alignment with matrix organization and corporate requirements.


Technical university degree or college diploma in related field (i.e. machine building).
Track record of LEAN activities.
More than 5 years in similar position within an ISO/TS16949 automotive manufacturing environment.
Strong problem solving and project management skills.
Thorough management skills with proven track record.
Well developed interpersonal and organizational skills.
Well developed verbal and written communication skills.
