Contract Type
A Special School in Blaenau Gwent has asked Broad Education Staffing to find a number of suitably qualified and experienced teachers, with experience of teaching children with Autistic Spectrum Conditions, to be considered for 2 ongoing teaching roles. The candidate may have a background in working with primary or secondary age groups, but will have the ability to work with either age group in a Special School context.

The start date of both roles is expected to be late March/early April 2017. As such, registration with Broad Education Staffing in order to be considered for the role and to be selected for trial work at the centre is taking place NOW to manage registration and safeguarding clearances and to allow successful candidates the time required to adhere to any required notice periods. The successful candidate will have experience of working with children with ASC and candidates with working experience of using specific ASC programmes and principles such as TEACCH and PECS are particularly invited to apply.

The initial term of employment through Broad Education Staffing is to work as an ideal trial period for the selected candidates to ensure that they and the school are happy to commit to ongoing contracted positions. Once both sides are satisfied, contracted positions will be offered - potentially with start dates before the Summer Holiday 2017 to allow for contracted salary payment through the holiday period.

In order to comply with Broad Education Staffing's strict adherence to Safer Recruitment legislation, the role requires an enhanced DBS disclosure. Therefore, the successful candidates will already have (or will be prepared to apply and pay for) a suitable DBS disclosure, registered with the DBS update service. Full assistance in gaining a DBS disclosure can be provided by Broad Education Staffing. Advertised through Zoek.
