They are now looking to recruit a Technical Compliance Officer to join the team at their busy headquarters in Caerphilly, South Wales.Job DescriptionTo ensure that customer, business unit, and legal requirements for raw materials and supplier quality assurance are achieved; that quality, safety, and risk evaluation systems are adhered to, and corrective actions are completed.To support the Technical and Quality Department in developing and maintaining a quality culture throughout the site through the provision of accurate and timely data and documentation, and by supporting projects that support the operations team to develop robust corrective action plans for quality improvements.PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Maintain and approve the existing and new raw materials on QADEX systemMaintain the supplier selfaudit questionnaires for new and existing suppliersPerform the horizon scanning and advising business of potential supplier/raw material issuesApprove and maintain suppliers own format raw material specificationsMaintain, update and issue of the approved supplier listCheck the retailers websites for policies and general updates on daily basis and communicating the updates to relevant team membersTake ownership of the raw material tracker and manage the spec approvalsPerform internal audits against systems to ensure compliance and completion of corrective actions to root cause.Provide technical support in the escalation of corrective actions with suppliers where raw material requirements are not met.Assist in the coordination of response to raw material related food safety alerts ExperienceMinimum 5 years experience working within the food industryExperience in effective communication with suppliers KnowledgeSound technical knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processesBRC internal auditor certification would be advantageousAwareness of Good Manufacturing Practice StandardsAwareness of main retailers requirements (Codes Of Practice)Intermediate HACCP PrinciplesFIC Legislation awareness would be an advantageUnderstanding the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14000, QMS, BRC, GMP, and Customer Codes Of PracticeStrong IT skills o include: Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point Core hours for this role are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, however flexibility is required to meet business needs.Limelight Resourcing 2016 Ltd are operating as an employment agency for this vacancy.
