The Management Team at The Flora have a vacancy for a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager.

The role requires you to control the day to day running of the kitchen with guidance from your General Manager to manage and lead the whole food ordering, food service and team leadership processes.

You will bring bags of enthusiasm to develop and create a great food proposition, putting The Flora on the map. Part of your job will be to create and cost seasonal menus, sourcing new produce where necessary and have the flair and ability to personalise pub classic dishes with originality.

Youll train, motivate and inspire your Kitchen team to deliver an efficient food operation and be responsible for the kitchens financial performance which in turn can lead to attractive rewards and future promotion within the group.

You will be used to coping with busy service periods and all elements of Kitchen standards and hygiene to ensure that your team work exactly the same whether you are supervising or not. Retaining the current 5 star food hygiene rating at all times. Whether you are in peak cooking service times, co-ordinating checks and audits or new menu launches, 5 star standards is what were looking for.

Minimum requirements:

You will have between 2 and 5 years experience as a Head Chef/Kitchen Manager

Be proficient in the management of all areas of paperwork and EHO record requirements

Have a proven track record of designing and costing menus

Have the experience and ability to train and develop all staff under your management

Hold a minimum of level 2 Food Hygiene
