West Wales Care and Repair is none profit making organisation providing a range of housing solutions to the over 60's resident in Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire that enable them to remain living independently in safe and warm homes.  The postholder will be responsible for providing a dedicated and specialist casework service for the new Critical Prevention Service across the West Wales region.  The service is a partnership between Care and Repair, Action on Hearing Loss Cymru and RNIB Cymru, initially funded through a 2 year Welsh Government grant funding stream.

You must possess a minimum of 2 years work experience of working with the general public. The post requires knowledge of the housing needs of older people and a range of services that provide housing support. You will need to demonstrate experience of working with voluntary and statutory bodies in housing care or health/social care related fields and a basic knowledge of sight and hearing loss and the impact on personal independence.

As this role involves lone working, you will be organised and have the ability to work with minimum supervision. 

It is essential that you hold a valid driving licence as you will be required to use your own vehicle (essential car allowance and paid mileage applies).

If successful you will be required to undertake a DBS check.

* All posts are subject to a six month probationary period.  You will be appointed on a probationary salary subject to your experience (minimum of 90% of the spot salary for the post).  This will be reviewed at the end of the probationary period.

N.B -This is a currently a fixed term post.
