Senior Maintenance & Reliability Engineer
This is a key strategic role supporting the activities of experienced maintenance and engineering departments in developing and driving the continuous improvement in plant reliability, equipment design and maintenance & reliability practices on this highly automated high hazard chemical plant.
Reporting directly to the Engineering & Technical Manager and working closely with the maintenance, engineering and operations teams responsibility is for the development and implementation of the site reliability strategy through the utilization of reliability tools such as OEE, RCM, Six Sigma and other appropriate techniques which will result in the long term increase in plant performance.
Your actions as Senior Maintenance and Reliability Engineer will promote safety as the absolute priority and you will ensure compliance with all UK legislation and corporate practice, promoting the involvement of all personnel with regard to health & safety policies and practices throughout the site. As a senior member of the Engineering & technical team you will also be expected to support the Maintenance Manager in the development of their team's technical skills and awareness of the plant reliability strategy.
The role of Senior Maintenance and Reliability Engineer calls for an experienced graduate level mechanical engineer, preferably Chartered, who has had at least ten years maintenance or production engineering experience within the chemical, oil & gas or similar heavy process industry. Your initial qualifications will be supported by specific training and working experience of current safety and environmental standards, Rotating & Static process equipment reliability strategies and comprehensive problem solving tools and methodologies such as RCA FMECA, Kepner -Tregoe, Six Sigma and related principles. Above all, you will have a Continuous Improvement mind-set, strong communication skills and a committed approach which involves and enthuses others.
