This is an excellent opportunity for you to contribute to the development and implementation of Newport City Council's ambitious and challenging Council's Change Programme.
We are seeking an experienced individual who can lead business critical change projects and programmes in order to deliver efficiency savings, improve performance and reduce business risk in line with customer expectations.
Embedding change, ensuring sustainability and developing the organisation to become change ready will be a central part of the role in creating an organisational culture which is aligned with the Change programme.
To be a success, you will need to demonstrate a proven ability to support, mentor and develop stakeholders ensuring engagement and sustainability of outcomes and support the cultural change necessary to change the organisation. You will be an expert in project and programme management and have significant political and commercial acumen. With the ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams, you will work across numerous service areas and multiple organisations, and have a proven track record of diagnostic service reviews, business analysis, IT system implementation, financial modelling and delivery of successful outcomes thus enabling you to provide innovative and practical solutions.
A strategic thinker with proven contract negotiation and management capability, you will operate at all levels of the organisation up to board level.
