Robert Half Finance and Accounting is currently recruiting for a leading Technology Business in Cardiff. My client require a driven and forward thinking Business Partner/Commercial Accountant who can own the accounting process as well as add real value to the senior leadership team. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, the commercial management accountant is responsible for producing accurate monthly management accounts and analyse results against budget. The right candidate will be highly analytical, producing a range of management information to senior management. The role will require a commercial background to support the sales teams on correct pricing strategies to maximise profits and also develop a sound understanding of the business to be a key influencer of strategic decision making. Job Responsibilities Preparation of month end management accounts Presentation and explanation of monthly performance to key stakeholders Analyse revenue and cost base to drive accurate income and expenditure recognition Identify potential opportunities and risks relevant to the business areas - create action plans accordingly Lead the preparation of annual budget and monthly reforecast for the business area Provide accurate inputs for the preparation of the 13 week cash flow Be seen at the key contact and financial knowledge base for all stakeholders Build very close working relationships to business partner with internal customers Work closely with the sales team to assist with the bid process and pricing strategies Take full ownership of all financial data from source to final presentation reports Continuously look to improve current process and management information Management of two management accountants. Experience and Qualifications Required Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) Experience as a management accountant preferably in the service industry Good numeracy and literacy skills Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence staff of all levels Accuracy and attention to detail Excellent excel and analysis skills Salary: Up to £45,000 plus benefits Robert Half Ltd acts as an employment business for temporary positions and an employment agency for permanent positions.
