Conveyancing Direct Ltd is one of the top 10 Conveyancing Companies in England and Wales and a leading provider of conveyancing in our local area.  We are looking to recruit a Trainee Remortgage Case Handler to join our busy team.

This position would suit a person with a background of working in a same or similar environment or with some administration experience.

You will be joining a rapidly expanding customer focused company which is dedicated to progressing not only the business but the people within it.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Carry out day to day legal administration on behalf of lenders using the case management system to progress cases efficiently and to the time scales set.
  • Ensure workflow through the case management system - deal with incoming correspondence, e-mails, etc.; carry out next evens on the system; take phone calls, record them and take necessary action; proactively progress cases through the system.
  • Carry out and complete a set number of remortgage transactions each month.
  • Ensure all property charges are cleared, all redemption figures are accurate, timely and complete to ensure the new lender can be registered and that all registered charges can be cleared.
  • Ensure that all areas of each Lender’s Service Level Agreements are met as per the guidelines set.
  • Arrange title insurance as and when required.
  • Undergo training to ensure competence at assigned tasks and attain improvement of quality and quantity of work.

Person Specification:

  • Previous experience in an office environment would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel and Outlook is essential.
  • You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to get on with diverse personalities.  You will have good time management, organisational, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills. 
  • You will be confident and able to work alone or as part of a team.
