Support Worker Opportunities
Commencing 13th March 2017

Values in Care was established in 2003 and supports learning disabled individuals who have autism and associated complex needs. We rely on employing staff who have the right values base and skills necessary to support vulnerable adults.

Values in Care currently operate 14 registered care homes and are committed to developing further services within the South East area of Wales.

Our latest service, based in Rhydyfelin just outside Pontypridd, will be home to 6 individuals with complex needs and will open on the 13th March 2017

We are looking to recruit a dedicated team of Support Workers on a full time, part time and casual basis.

Previous experience is not essential as a combination of life skills, values and our extensive accredited training will equip you with the required skills. We are committed to continuing professional development and are accredited by Investors in People, City and Guilds, Agored Cymru. Values in Care will support you to achieve a QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.

Support Workers

You will work with adults with learning disabilities within their home and offer the support required to access community facilities/activities.

You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with families and other key individuals.

Experience of working with vulnerable people is preferred but not essential as a variety of employment and life skills will be of relevance for this post. Flexibility and a commitment to supporting people with learning disabilities are essential qualities needed for the above post.

Values in Care provides 24 hour support, 7 days a week, therefore you will need a flexible approach to your hours of work. You will work shifts that include nights, weekends, bank holidays and on occasion you will be required to support residents on holidays.

Salary will be circa £16,500 per annum plus associated allowances and premiums. Salary dependent on skills, qualifications and experience. Advertised salary includes 1 sleep-in per week. Additional sleep-ins and overtime will be available to you.
