Finance Officer- Investments

Salary Range - £31,225 - £35,328

The Representative Body of the Church in Wales is a registered charity managing an investment portfolio of over £550m as well as a significant property portfolio. The principal role of the organisation is to hold and manage the assets of the Church in Wales to respond to the current financial challenges to ensure ongoing financial viability to support the continuing work of the Church in Wales.

You will be responsible for organising, co-ordinating and supervising the work associated with the administration of all aspects of our investments.

You should have experience of working in a professional financial environment. Good oral and written communication skills with an ability to explain technical financial terminology to non financial people is essential.

The main tasks and responsibilities of the job are as follows:

  • To monitor all aspects of the day-to-day administration of investments, the relationship with the three sets of investments advisers, the custodianship of the stock exchange investments, the collection and receipt of the overseas withholding tax and ensure effective procedures are in place in respect of treasury management.
  • To provide the full secretarial support for the conduct of the Investment Committee and the Ethical Investment Group and to regularly review the Ethical Investment Policy through the Ethical Investment Group.
