An Engineering company in Cardiff requires a full-time Workshop/Installation Electronic Engineer to join a growing engineering team, to undertake Workshop Engineering tasks, Installation work both at the company and at customer locations and some design tasks.

The position will involve the following activities:

-Occasional visits and working at customer sites within the UK and Internationally
-Prototype PCB and unit Assembly
-Design tasks including design amendments
-Fault Finding to component level
-Technical Specifications, Drawings and Report Writing


Minimum of a HNC in Engineering/Electronics with practical skills and problem solving.

Excellent computer literacy in particular using the Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

Driving License and confident driver.

UK Passport.


Applicants will be considered with some relevant experience in the following:

-Electronic Workshop skills
-Electronic Design
-Some experience of high-level programming languages (e.g. C, C++).
-PCB Repair to component level.
-Report writing to a high standard using Microsoft Word.
-Design Configuration Control to a high level


The company is a small growing company based in Cardiff that undertakes a variety of electronic design, development and support activities on behalf of both Commercial and Ministry of Defence customers.

The technology used by these projects range from small analogue circuits to microprocessor based designs through to programmable logic (FPGAs and CPLDs) using VHDL and Schematic design entry.
